FLBA - National Conference
The Family Law Bar Association National Conference, Hosted by the Leeds branch of the FLBA, will take place on Saturday 20 November 2010 at the award winning Rose Bowl Leeds Metropolitan University. Coffee available from 8.45 am
- We have a very exciting and topical day planned for delegates, chaired by The Honourable Mr Justice Moylan.
- The Honourable Mrs Justice King will lead a Panel Discussion on the question 2Have ancilliary relief orders become too favourable to wives?" The panel will include Charlotte Bradley, Partner at Kingsley Napley and James Turner QC.
- Professor Martin Conway, from the university of Leeds will give a presentation on memories and their reliability.
- HHJ Cahill QC, Vulnerable Victim and Witness Liasion judge , will speak about "The Evidence of Young Witnesses - Lessons Learned in the Criminal Courts".
- "Deal or No Deal?" with Nick Francis QC of 29 Bedford Row - a presentation on marital agreements.
- Dr Pamela Tower's topic is on "Understanding and Treating Attachment Disorders".
- Richard McCann is well known for his presentations on dealing with life challenges and what can happen when children slip through the net.
The Conference is eligible for 5 CPD Points
The Royal Armouries will be the venue in the evening for a formal dinner, followed by dancing. Partners and Friends are welcome.
Prices Held at last years levels.
Conference costs are £160 or an "Early Booking" fee £130 if booking is recieved before Friday 3 September 2010. Special rates for junior counsel under five years call.
