Join the North Eastern Circuit
The North Eastern Circuit consists of Barristers practicing principally, but not exclusively, in the Courts of the North Eastern Circuit and membership is open to members of the Bar of England and Wales who ordinarily practice or intend to practice on this Circuit, or who sit on the North Eastern Circuit in a part time Judicial capacity. There are six circuits in England and Wales and all have an elected leader who must be a QC. Ours is Stuart Brown QC. He is assisted by the Circuit Junior, who represents the interest of the Junior Bar and organises social events, a Circuit Secretary, who is responsible for the administration of the circuit and a Circuit Treasurer. There is a Circuit Executive which meets regularly and an Education Sub Committee.
Membership of Circuit is open to members of the Bar of England and Wales who ordinarily practise or intend to practise, or sit in any part-time capacity in the courts of the North Eastern Circuit, or are a member of North Eastern Circuit Chambers as defined in the constitution.
