ONLINE via Zoom
27th February 2021, 10:00 to 14:00
Dear all
As Leader of the North Eastern Circuit, I remain committed to the promotion of race and gender diversity and social mobility at the bar. I am therefore delighted to announce that the NEC Diversity Outreach Programme and the NEC Education Committee, have combined forces to put on the first, of what I hope will be a series, of Diversity Awareness Training Seminars, which will be held over Zoom on Saturday 27th February 2021, between 10-2pm. This will consist of a number of talks given by excellent speakers, on the subject of race, diversity and social history.
Please note that this event is open to both practitioners and chambers staff and I am therefore firmly of the view that it should be marked in everyone's diaries as 'must attend'. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it is vital that anyone on Circuit who is involved in pupillage interviews, support staff recruitment and chambers management also attends. Furthermore, given that the event can be accessed from the comfort of your own homes and we are in s state of lockdown, there really is no excuse for anything less than a very high turnout across Circuit. I therefore hope that all of you will see the benefit of this event and give it your fullest support and attention.
If you have any queries please contact, Glenn Parsons, parsons@psqb.co.uk, or the Circuit Administrator admin@northeasterncircuit.co.uk
I look forward to seeing you there.
