At the end of the programme participants should have detailed knowledge and understanding of the overriding duty to the court; the duty to act in the client’s best interests and duties to third parties.
There will be discussions on the three basic duties in the Code of Conduct:
The overriding duty to the Court
The duty to act in the client’s best interests
Duties to third parties
Course aims:
To enable the new Practitioner to identify those situations which raise ethical problems
To understand the principles which govern professional conduct
To apply these principles to given situations

Participants are asked to bring a copy of the latest version of the Code of Conduct – the “potted” version in supplement to Archbold will suffice
