VICARIOUS TRAUMATISATION: What it is, how to spot it and how to deal with it

3rd December 2018

KBW Chambers Leeds

5.30pm onwards registration and refreshments

6.00pm - 7.00pm Presentation by Duncan Kitchin

“Duncan Kitchin has well over twenty years experience as a psychotherapist and counsellor.  It would be difficult to find someone in this field who is unaware of trauma and its effects, be they direct or indirect, but in the course of his work, Duncan has seen police officers from 40 of our 43 forces in UK.  Many have worked within the fields of sexual assault and domestic abuse, as well as attending the scenes of road traffic incidents."

“When Nicky Campbell first saw Duncan in the 1990s, he was prosecuting a series of trials arising out of a police investigation into historical abuse at a group of children’s homes in West Yorkshire.  The help Duncan provided then was invaluable and Nicky has found him to be a dependable resource ever since.  He is looking forward to hearing what Duncan has to say from this, rather different perspective, and feels that all members of Circuit, together with our support staff, can benefit from his experience and expertise.  Come and hear what Duncan has to say and learn how to manage stress a little better, from whatever its source!”

Please contact the Circuit office at if you wish to attend.
