And the winner is…

Congratulations to Caroline Goodwin KC, who will be the next Leader of Circuit.

She will bring her usual energy and enthusiasm to the post and new direction. Well done!

But I write this really to say thank you to all four candidates for putting themselves forward and being willing to make the sacrifices on behalf of Circuit. And, importantly, making democracy work on Circuit. The fact that we had an unprecedented election (in my memory) with four runners shows the engagement and interest in Circuit of our membership and gives the Leader Elect a mandate. In that regard, Circuit was the real winner regardless of outcome.

Caroline begins her term on the 1st January 2026 and will be readying herself for that over the next two months. I will of course help in whatever way I can.
