North Eastern Circuit Wellbeing Helpline
On the North Eastern Circuit, our members wellbeing and mental health is of the utmost importance to us. As a result, all members have access to our bespoke Wellbeing Helpline. It is run by Wendy Showell Nicholas, a BACP accredited psychotherapist with extensive experience working at the bar.

Members, pupils and staff can contact Wendy by phone or email (wellbeing@northeasterncircuit.co.uk) and she will arrange a Zoom call at a time to suit them. The line is available during working hours and each barrister is able to receive a free 1 hour session, covering all areas of mental wellbeing support. If you require further assistance she will signpost you to additional services.
